A New Chapter...

After 10 days alone in the new appartment, I could clearly see an ass-print in the couch.

Yes, I had been outside a few times for school and to get to know the city. It rained alot though, and that made it more tempting to sit on the couch and watch 'Friends'. Therefore the ass-print on the couch.

The 10th day, my roomates arrived. It was a joyous occation, and I went down to meet them as they got off the train. Then we had a few weeks ahead of us to do nothing, really!

During the first week, we took alot of trips to some famous sights and tourist attractions, luckily we had really nice weather that week.

As we didn't have Internet access in out appartment, we had to go all the way to the library. We felt kind of sad the day we realized that our lives consisted of going to the library and to the grocerie-store.

After living here for a month we have gotten really settled, we know the city by heart (after taking the bus in the wrong direction a few times, you learn!), and we know how to make the money last. Yes, we're probably the only ones who welcome commercial in our mailbox. Then we take out a pen and make little x'es where there's something cheap. Then we go to 5 or 6 different grocerie-stores to make every penny count.

The sad thing is, we can't afford meat. It's true! We eat everything but meat... We eat the accessories.. This week we're planning on making potatoes with gravy, vegetables and sauerkraut, mmmm.

Our neighbours eat meat, and we have a perfectly good view into their kitchen. Yesterday they had steak for dinner. I'm just surprised they didn't see three heads sticking out of the window accross from their appartment!
